  • 1 cup Betty Crocker potato buds, dry
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 18 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 12 cups all-purpose flour

    place potatoes in a medium bowl.

    pour in boiling water.

    stir until well blended and let cool.

    stir in egg, salt and pepper.

    blend in flourto make a fairly stiff dough.

    turn dough onto a well floured surface.

    Knead lightly.

    divide dough into 1/2.

    shape each 1/2 into a long thin roll about the size of a breadstick.

    dip knife into flour and cut into bite sized pieces.

    Bring salted water to boil in a large pot.

    add a few gnocchi to boiling water.

    as gnocchi rises to surface remove with a slotted spoon.
