- 2 Tbsp. melted fat or salad oil
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 lb. hamburger meat
- 1/2 c. uncooked rice
- No. 2 can tomatoes
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Saute onion in fat about 5 minutes.

2Add meat, cook until lightly brown, stirring frequently.

3Add rice and other ingredients.

4Cover with tight-fitting lid.

5Cook over low heat about 25 minutes or until rice is done.
