Quick Mapo Tofu

Ingredients

  • 1 block Tofu
  • 100 grams Ground meat
  • 1/2 Scallion
  • 1 add (to taste) Ginger
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 5 grams Consomme bouillon
  • 2 tbsp Miso (I use red miso)
  • 1 tbsp Sake
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Shichimi spice (ichimi spice is also OK)
  • 200 ml Water
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 2 tsp Katakuriko

Directions

    This is all you need.

    Chop the ginger, garlic and scallion finely.

    Dice the tofu to 1 cm.

    Heat oil in the frying pan.

    Add the ginger and garlic and stir fry.

    Add water, consomme bouillon, miso, sake, soy sauce, shichimi spice.

    Stir to dissolve the miso and bring to the boil.

    After the miso is dissolved, stir in the tofu and scallion, mix with Step 4.

    Taste first and if it's fine, stir in the dissolved katakuriko to thicken the sauce.

    Mix well with a wooden spoon.
