Ingredients
- 1 pkg. active-dry yeast or 1 tsp.
- 1 c. warm water
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. shortening
- 2 3/4 c. Robin Hood flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in 1 cup of warm water in a large bowl.

2Add sugar, salt, egg and shortening.

3Add one cup of the flour.

4Beat until smooth.

5Stir in remaining flour.

6Continue stirring until smooth.

7Scrape batter from sides of bowl.

8Cover.

9Let dough rise in warm place until double in size, about 30 minutes.

10Stir down batter.

11Turn onto floured surface.

12Divide into 12 equal parts. Shape each into smooth ball with lightly greased fingers.

13Place in a greased square pan.

14Let rise until double the size.
-
15Bake in a 400° oven for about 15 minutes.

16Makes 12 rolls.
