  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 c. confectioners sugar, sifted
  • 2 pound cake loaves, thawed
  • chocolate shavings (optional)
  • Meringue Mushrooms (optional)

Directions

    Melt chocolate chips over hot (not boiling) water.

    Transfer to small bowl; cool 5 minutes.

    Blend in sour cream, vanilla and salt. Add confectioners sugar; beat until smooth.

    Place pound cakes end to end to form one long cake.

    Form log by rounding edges and corners.

    Cut cake longways to make 3 layers.

    Fill and frost.
