  • 1/2 c. stewed tomatoes or tomato sauce
  • chopped vegetables: green bell pepper, onion, zucchini, squash, etc.
  • 1/2 c. shredded or sliced cheese
  • 3 pieces bread
  • 1/4 lb. ground beef (optional)
  • 1/2 pkg. taco seasoning (optional)

Directions

    Preheat oven to 400°.

    Brown hamburger in skillet, drain off fat.

    Add taco seasoning and chopped vegetables.

    Place tomato sauce or stewed tomatoes (with juice) on the bread.

    Place ground beef and/or vegetable mixture on the bread.

    Place cheese on top of the filling.

    Bake for 15 minutes.
