Ingredients
- 1 c. warm water
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 Tbsp. soft shortening
- 2 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1Add yeast to warm water and mix.

2Add sugar, salt, egg and shortening and mix.

3Add 1/2 flour and mix.

4Add rest of flour and mix.
-
5Knead for 10 minutes.

6Place in greased bowl and cover.
-
7Let rise in warm place about 1 hour to double in bulk.

8Pan rolls and let rise in warm place about 1 hour.

9Bake 20 to 30 minutes at 350°.

10Spray with Pam or brush with melted butter.

11Dough can be made the night before and placed in refrigerator for use the next day.
