- 1 c. milk
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 yeast cake
- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 6 to 7 c. sifted flour
- 4 Tbsp. melted shortening
Directions

1Scald milk, add sugar and salt.

2Dissolve yeast in water and add to milk; add shortening and flour.

3Knead well.

4Place in greased bowl, cover and set in warm place to rise.

5When dough is light, shape into rolls or round buns.

6Bake in hot oven for about 20 minutes.
