- 2 c. self-rising flour
- 3 Tbsp. Crisco
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. warm water
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 stick butter
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in water.

2Blend together Crisco and sugar in large bowl.

3Add water mixture.

4Gradually add flour until dough is thick.

5Cover; let stand in warm place 15 minutes.

6Roll dough out on lightly floured surface; cut out with a biscuit cutter. Put a pat of butter on each.

7Fold over; seal edges with a fork or by pinching.

8Bake at 400° until golden brown.
