- 2 c. lukewarm water
- 4 c. self-rising flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 3/4 c. melted shortening
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in water; mix together in a large bowl with all other ingredients.

2To cook, spoon batter into well-greased muffin tins and bake immediately at 425° for 20 minutes.

3This batter will keep for several days stored in refrigerator.

4You do not have to wait for them to rise.

5Yields 24 rolls.
