- 3 cloves garlic
- 1/4 c. olive oil
- 2 large cans tomato puree or whole tomatoes, pureed (Italian brand)
- 6 oz. tomato paste
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 bay leaves
- few hot peppers (optional)
Directions

1Saute garlic in oil in a large saucepan.

2Add remaining ingredients; stir.

3Heat on low until thoroughly blended.

4Cook double batches and freeze unused sauce in pint or quart containers.

5When needed, defrost, heat and serve.

6Before serving, add cooked meatballs, hamburg or Italian sausage, if desired, or serve separately.
