  • 1 lb. rabbit
  • 1/2 lb. carrots, sliced
  • 1 lb. potatoes, quartered
  • 1 pkg. onion soup mix
  • 4 lb. boneless venison
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • pepper
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1 (No. 2) can tomatoes
  • 2 chopped onions
  • 2 chopped peppers
  • 1 tsp. rosemary

Directions

    Cut meat in chunks.

    Mix flour with salt and pepper and roll meat in it, then brown in the shortening.

    Add garlic, tomatoes, onions, peppers and rosemary.

    Add water, if necessary, to bring liquid halfway up the meat.

    Cover and simmer for 2 hours, or until tender, stirring occasionally.
