- 1 c. almond paste (comes in a can)
- 3 sticks margarine, soft
- 1 c. sugar
- 4 eggs or 6 egg whites
- 2 c. flour
- 1/4 Tbsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. almond extract
- 12 oz. apricot preserves
- 1 oz. water
- red and green food coloring
- 6 oz. chocolate chips, melted
Directions

1Mix paste, margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and extract, then flour and salt.

2Line three 9 x 13-inch pans with foil and grease. Divide batter into 3 parts and color one green and one red.

3Leave one as is (yellow).

4Pour into the 3 pans. Bake these thin layers at 350° for 10 minutes (it may need 12 minutes; don't let it get too hard).
