- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. Crisco
- 2/3 c. sweet milk
- 2/3 c. buttermilk
- 1 cake yeast, dissolved in 1/3 c. lukewarm water
Directions

1Sift all dry ingredients, working in shortening with fork. Add all liquids; roll thin.

2Cut with biscuit cutter.

3Dip each in melted butter; place double decker.

4Let rise 2 hours.

5Bake at 400° until golden brown.

6Extra dough may be placed in a greased bowl.

7Cover tightly.

8Refrigerate until needed.
