- 8 eggs
- 1 c. butter, melted
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 large yeast cake, melted with 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 lemon, juice and rind
- 1 pinch of salt for each egg
- about 6 to 7 c. flour
- powdered sugar
- lemon flavoring
Directions

1Beat eggs until creamy.

2Add butter, sugar, yeast mixture and flour.

3Cover and let raise for about 1 1/2 hours until doubled. Place dough on floured board and make the knots.

4If sticking, add a little more flour.

5Put on greased cookie sheet and let them raise again.

6Bake at 375° for 10 minutes.

7Frost with powdered sugar and lemon flavoring while warm.
