Raised Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. fresh pork
  • 1 lb. lean beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped fine
  • 2 slices bread (I use dry bread made into crumbs)
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1 can milk
  • 1 small can whole mushrooms

Directions

    Mix all ingredients well.

    Place in refrigerator for several hours (overnight).

    Form into balls and brown in small amount of shortening.

    Place in pan with lid along with the soups mixed together and pour over meatballs.

    Bake for 2 hours at 300°.

    Makes 75 small meatballs.
