- 1 loaf raisin bread
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 c. milk
- 1 stick (1/2 c.) margarine, melted
- 4 eggs, well beaten
- 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 stick (1/4 c.) butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Preheat oven to 300°.

2Remove any very dark crust from bread. Break bread into small cubes.

3Combine 1 1/2 cups sugar, the milk, melted margarine, eggs and cinnamon.

4Pour over cubed bread in a large bowl.

5Transfer to a buttered 13 x 9-inch pan and bake 40 minutes at 300°.
