Raisin Buttermilk Pie

  • 3 egg yolks, beaten
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 3/4 c. raisins
  • 1/3 c. butter

Directions

    Place in saucepan in order given, heat until butter is melted. Pour into unbaked pie shell.

    Bake at 400° for 5 minutes, then reduce oven to 350° and bake for 30 minutes.

    Beat the egg whites with 3 tablespoons sugar, place on top of pie and bake at 325° until brown.
