  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/4 c. white sugar
  • 2/3 c. shortening
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 box raisins, cooked (with 2 c. water; bring to boil and cool)
  • 1 c. raisin juice
  • 1/2 c. nuts

    Mix and set aside raisin juice and soda.

    Mix eggs, sugar, shortening, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.

    Add raisin juice.

    Then add flour, raisins and nuts.

    Bake at 350° for 45 to 60 minutes in greased and floured Bundt pan.

    No icing needed.
