  • 4 matzo, broken
  • warm water (to cover)
  • 3 to 4 large eggs
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • oil (for frying)
  • cinnamon and sugar (for sprinkling top, optional)
  • jam (for topping, optional)

Directions

    Pour warm water over matzo.

    Drain, squeezing out water. Beat eggs and seasonings and stir together with the matzo.

    Heat oil and fry matzo mixture on both sides until golden.
