- 1 c. butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 2 medium eggs
- 2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 3 c. bran
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Melt butter in a saucepan.

2Add sugar, salt and buttermilk. Allow to cool.

3Stir in eggs.

4Sift together the flour and salt. Add raisins and nuts; blend well.

5Put dough into a loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour at 350°.

6Let cool; cut in slices.
