Ingredients

  • two unbaked double pie crusts
  • 16 saltine crackers rolled into coarse crumbs
  • 2 c. sugar (scant)
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. cider vinegar (scant)
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 Tbsp. butter/margarine
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon

Directions

    Mix all ingredients and cook over medium heat until thickened. Pour into pie crusts; top with crust.

    Cut slits in top crusts.

    Bake at 350° for 35-45 minutes or until crust is done.

    Makes 2 pies.
