- 4 large baking apples
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. seedless raisins
- butter
- 1/2 c. water

1Core apples; pare strip from center or top of each.

2Mix brown sugar and raisins.

3Place about 2 tablespoons of raisin mixture in center of each apple.

4Dot with butter.

5Place apples in large saucepan; add water.

6Cover tightly.

7Bring to boil.

8Continue boiling gently 15 minutes or until tender.
