- 1 c. raisins
- 1 c. boiling water
- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 Tbsp. margarine, melted
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Butter a 5 x 9-inch loaf pan.

3Place raisins in a large bowl.

4Cover with boiling water and set aside for 10 minutes.

5Mix together flour, sugar, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl.

6Add egg, margarine, vanilla and almond extract to raisins and water.

7Stir in dry ingredients.

8Mix in nuts. Bake for 45 minutes.
