  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. lard
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. Rice Krispies
  • 2 c. rolled oats
  • 1 c. coconut (optional)
  • 1/2 c. nuts (optional)

Directions

    Cream the first three ingredients.

    Add beaten eggs and vanilla mix thoroughly.

    Add sifted dry ingredients.

    Stir in cereal and nuts.

    Roll into walnut-size balls and place on a cookie sheet.

    Bake 10 minutes at 400°.

    Yields five to six dozen.
