- 1/2 c. margarine or butter
- 1 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 2 c. Rice Krispies cereal or 1 c. rolled oats
- 1 (3 1/2 oz.) can flaked coconut (1 1/3 c.)
- 1 c. raisins
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2Beat margarine or butter with an electric mixer on medium speed for 30 seconds.

3Add 1/2 of flour, the sugars, egg, vanilla, baking powder and soda.

4Beat until mixed good.

5Beat in remaining flour.

6Stir in cereal, coconut and raisins.

7Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

8Bake at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes.

9Cool on cookie sheet 1 minute.

10Remove and cool on rack.
