- 2 c. warm water
- 2 pkg. RapidRise yeast
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 6 1/2 c. plain flour
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 egg
Directions

1In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in water.

2Add sugar, salt and about half of the flour.

3Beat 2 minutes.

4Add egg and shortening. Gradually beat in remaining flour until smooth.

5Cover with damp cloth and put in refrigerator.

6Punch down occasionally.

7About 2 hours before baking, shape dough into rolls.

8Put on greased sheet.
-
9Brush top with butter.
-
10Bake at 400° for 12 to 15 minutes.
