- 2 1/2 c. plain flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 pt. preserves (raspberry, strawberry, blueberry or cherry)
Directions

1Set oven at 350°.

2Combine the first 6 ingredients; beat 2 to 3 minutes with hand mixer.

3Reserve 1 1/2 cups.

4Spread the remainder in a 9 x 13-inch pan, which is sprayed with Baker's Joy or Pam.

5Spread the preserves over the dough; crumble the reserved portion over the preserves.

6Bake for 40 to 50 minutes.

7Cool before cutting.
