  • 2 c. fresh raspberries or your favorite fruit
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. boiling water

Directions

    Preheat oven to 375°. Place washed berries in the bottom of a well-greased deep dish. Mix 1/2 cup sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and milk and pour evenly over the fruit. Sprinkle 1 cup of sugar on top of batter. Pour 1 cup boiling water over all. Do not stir. Bake about 1 hour or until crusty and lightly browned. Serve warm with ice cream or cool and top with whipped topping.
