Ingredients

  • 1 qt. red peppers
  • 1 qt. cabbage
  • 1 pt. green peppers
  • 1 pt. onion (scant)
  • 2 or 3 hot peppers
  • 5 Tbsp. salt
  • 4 c. sugar
  • 3 c. vinegar
  • 4 tsp. celery seed
  • 2 tsp. turmeric

Directions

    Chop vegetables; mix with salt.

    Let stand 4 hours.

    Drain out most of the juice.

    Add rest of ingredients; stir well.

    Let stand 1 hour.

    Do not cook.

    Seal in jars.

    Let stand about 2 weeks before use.
