- 1 medium red cabbage, sliced slaw style
- 1 apple, quartered (not peeled)
- 1/2 lemon
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/4 c. wine vinegar
- salt and pepper to taste
- 3 cloves
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. margarine
Directions

1Saute cabbage in margarine, salt and pepper, onion, apple, juice of lemon and lemon peeling (remove before serving).

2Add 1 cup water and simmer 30 minutes.

3Add vinegar, bay leaves and cloves.

4Simmer 10 minutes (low flame).

5You may add bouillon cube. Delicious with pork roast.
