- 2 Tbsp. of lard or peanut oil
- 1 head of red cabbage, cored and shredded
- 1 apple, peeled and diced
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Melt the lard, or use oil, in a large pot.

2Add the cabbage and the apple to the pot and stir to mix with the oil.

3Cover the pot and cook over medium low heat for about 45 minutes.

4Stir occasionally.

5Add salt and pepper, mix.

6Add the vinegar and stir well.
