Red Chicken Stew

Ingredients

  • 1 large fryer or 4 large breasts and 6 chicken thighs
  • 2 small cans tomato sauce or 1 large can tomato sauce
  • 32 oz. bottle ketchup
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • shake of Texas Pete hot sauce
  • shake of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 medium chopped onion

Directions

    Boil chicken and debone.

    Remove skin of chicken before boiling.

    Place chicken pieces in saucepan and cover with broth from boiling.
  4. 4
    Add tomato sauce, most of the bottle of ketchup, salt, pepper, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce and chopped onion. Cook low on simmer for 30 to 45 minutes.

    Water may be added if stew is too thick.

    Serve over rice or as stew.
