Red Earth Cake

   Cream butter and sugar.

   Beat in eggs, one at a time.

   Mix together cocoa, coffee, red food coloring and vanilla.

   Stir into mixture.

   Add soda to buttermilk.

   Add flour and buttermilk to mixture alternately.

   Bake in two 9-inch layer pans at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.

   Ice with your favorite frosting.

   You can use a 9 x 12-inch sheet cake pan.
