- 6 to 8 Jonathan apples (or any kind that hold their shape)
- 1/2 to 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 c. water
- 6 to 8 drops oil of cinnamon or to taste
- red food coloring
Directions

1Peel, core and quarter apples.

2Bring other ingredients to boil.

3Add apples; cook gently until apples are tender.

4Hot fruit cans very well.

5Pack into hot jars and process in boiling water bath as you do applesauce, 15 to 20 minutes.
