Ingredients

  • 2 gal. cucumber rings
  • 8 1/2 qt. water
  • 2 c. dehydrated lime
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 1 small bottle red cake coloring
  • 1 Tbsp. alum
  • 2 c. vinegar
  • 2 c. water
  • 10 c. sugar
  • 8 sticks cinnamon
  • 1 (9 oz.) red cinnamon candy

Directions

    Bring to a boil and pour over pickles.

    Let stand overnight. Drain juice and heat again for 3 mornings.

    Then put in jars and seal.
