  • 4 Tbsp. bacon grease
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cans sauerkraut, rinsed well in warm water
  • 1/2 bottle ketchup
  • 1 c. water
  • pepper to taste

Directions

    Fry the onion in the bacon grease and oleo until tender.

    Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 2 1/2 hours.
