  • 0.5 (18 1/4 ounce) package vanilla cake mix or 0.5 (18 1/4 ounce) package chocolate cake mix
  • 12 cup water, plus 2 t water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons applesauce
  • 2 egg whites

    Preheat oven to 350EsF.

    Line muffin tins with liners.

    In a medium mixing bowl blend cake mix, water, butter, eggs.

    beat with a hand mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes.

    Pour into lined muffin tin no more than 2/3 full.

    bake for 19 to 23 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

    Note: Some recipes may use more or less water.

    Check the cake mix box, see how much water it needs, then half that.
