  • 1 pound Dry Black Beans
  • 3 cups Water
  • 1/2 teaspoons Jerk Seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons Onion Powder
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste

Directions

    Combine black beans, water, jerk seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt and pepper in the Instant Pot. Put the lid on, and set the pressure valve to sealing.

    Cook on Manual High Pressure (also called pressure cook) for 35 minutes. Allow pressure to release naturally for 25 minutes. Manually release any remaining pressure.

    Mash until desired consistency, adding more water as needed. You can also blend if you'd prefer. Season to taste.
