  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 c. Crisco shortening

Directions

    Sift dry ingredients.

    Cut in Crisco; add milk and yeast (dissolved in warm water).

    Refrigerate until needed. Place biscuits in pan and cook 10 to 15 minutes at 375° (until brown).
