Refrigerated Dinner Rolls

Ingredients

  • 6 c. Pillsbury all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 4 pkg. Fleischmann's yeast
  • 3/4 c. Crisco
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 c. lukewarm water
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. shortening

Directions

    In a large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in lukewarm water; set aside.

    Cream shortening and sugar until slightly creamy.

    Pour boiling water into cup to dissolve all the shortening and add to creamed mixture.

    Add lightly beaten eggs and stir, then add dissolved yeast.

    Add flour, 3 cups at a time.

    Stir until all flour is wet (do not try to remove the lumps).

    Cover with waxed paper and aluminum foil and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
