- 1 yeast cake or dry yeast in 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 1/4 c. Crisco
- 1 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 egg
- 3 1/2 c. sifted flour
Directions

1Mix Crisco, salt, sugar and boiling water in bowl.

2Allow to cool; make sure totally cooled.

3Add yeast.

4Add egg and stir. Add sifted flour and stir.

5Chill 2 to 4 hours in refrigerator. Shape into individual rolls and cover.

6Allow to rise, doubling in bulge, approximately 2 hours.

7Bake at 425°.
