- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 5 c. flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Combine in bowl, flour, soda, baking powder and sugar.

3Cut in shortening.

4Add buttermilk and yeast water to dry ingredients.

5Mix well.

6Store in half gallon container in refrigerator.

7Use as needed for hot rolls.

8Bake at 400° until light brown.

9This dough is very sticky when it is ready to use.
