  • 2 heads dill
  • 1/4 tsp. alum
  • 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 8 c. water
  • 3/4 c. coarse salt
  • 2 c. vinegar

Directions

    Put dill in bottom of a 1-gallon jar.

    Stuff jar with pickles. Makes 1 gallon plus 2 quarts.

    Will keep for weeks in refrigerator.
