  • 2 c. oatmeal
  • 2 c. All-Bran (Kellogg's)
  • 2 c. Shredded Wheat
  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 1 1/2 c. shortening
  • 4 beaten eggs
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 5 tsp. baking soda
  • 5 c. flour

Directions

    Soak the first 5 ingredients in a large bowl.

    Add the egg and sugar. Sift together the salt, baking soda and flour.

    Add dry ingredients alternately with 1-quart buttermilk.

    Bake in 3/4 filled muffin tins. Bake at 375° for 22 minutes. Check center with toothpick to check if done.
