- 16 c. thinly sliced cucumbers
- 2 c. onions, sliced
- 3 Tbsp. salt
- 2 c. vinegar
- 4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. turmeric
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- 1 1/2 tsp. alum
Directions

1Mix cucumbers, onions and salt.

2Let stand 3 hours.

3Don't drain.

4Mix vinegar, sugar, turmeric, celery seed and alum. Heat.

5Bring to boil.

6Let cool, then pour on cucumbers.

7Put in airtight bowl or container and put in refrigerator.
