- 4 c. sugar
- 4 c. vinegar
- 1/2 c. salt
- 2 tsp. turmeric
- 1 1/4 tsp. mustard seed
- 1 1/4 tsp. celery seed
- 3 onions, thinly sliced
- 1 gal. cucumbers, thinly sliced
Directions

1Combine sugar, vinegar, salt and spices.

2Do not heat! Mix cucumbers and onions and pack in glass containers.

3Pour vinegar mixture over cucumbers and onions.

4Cover tightly.

5Refrigerate for 5 days before tasting.

6Pickles keep in refrigerator for one year or more.
