Ingredients

  • 2 C. sugar
  • 2 C. white vinegar
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • 1 tsp. mustard seed, optional
  • 1/2 tsp. dill weed
  • 1 T. salt
  • 1 onion, sliced (sweet onion, preferred)
  • 6 cucumbers, peeled, sliced thin

Directions

    In saucepan heat first seven ingredients over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Place onions and cucumbers into a bowl with a cover. Pour heated ingredients over onions and cucumbers.

    Cover and refrigerate for 3 or 4 days before eating. Stores well in refrigerator. You may continue to add onions and cucumbers to left over ingredients.
