Ingredients
- 4 c. sugar
- 4 c. vinegar
- 1/2 c. salt
- 1 1/4 tsp. turmeric
- 1 1/4 tsp. celery seed
- 1 1/4 tsp. mustard seed
- 3 large onions, sliced
- cucumbers, sliced thinly
Directions

1Wash and sterilize jars.

2Put onion slice in bottom of jars. Mix all ingredients to make a cold syrup.

3Do not heat.

4Fill each jar with cucumbers, packing tightly.

5Stir syrup well and pour into jars, covering cucumbers.

6Put lids on jars.

7It is not necessary to seal.

8Refrigerate at least 5 days before serving. Pickles will keep for 9 months in refrigerator.
