Ingredients
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 c. lukewarm, unseasoned, mashed potatoes
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 2/3 c. shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 6 to 7 c. all-purpose flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water in large bowl.

2Stir in all ingredients except 3 cups flour.

3Beat until smooth.

4Mix enough remaining flour to make dough easy to handle.

5Turn onto lightly floured surface.

6Knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes. Place in a greased bowl.

7Turn greased side up.

8Cover tightly and refrigerate at least 8 hours.

9No longer than 5 days.

10Punch down dough and divide into equal parts for whatever you are making.
